Meet our Founder & CEO

Dr. Kimbla Newsom

Dr. Kimbla Newsom is the Founder and CEO of JustUS Advocacy, LLC. She has over twenty five years of experience working in both public and private-sector juvenile service organizations. Additionally, Dr. Newsom has been a US Department of Justice-certified Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) auditor for both adult and juvenile facilities since 2014. She earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology from the University of Arkansas. Dr. Newsom earned her Master of Arts (MA) degree and Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) in Criminal Justice from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and a dedicated public servant in her community.
